In October 2022, the Commission for Hospital Hygiene and Infection Prevention (KRINKO) published its new guideline for surface hygiene , providing basic guidance for surface cleaning and disinfection for different risk areas. Recommendations for action based on this guideline were summarised in the “Five indications for surface disinfection”.
