European practical in-vivo test with test persons to determine the efficacy of hygienic hand disinfection: the reduction of microorganisms which is achieved by the test product and is measured in log10 steps must not be significantly below the result of the reference procedure.
This so-called Phase 2/Step 2 test procedure is obligatory for the VAH certification of products for hygienic hand disinfection.
